Due to Covid-19 we made the decision to move forward with a Virtual Showcase this year.
These actors have trained since January under an amazing team of teaching professionals. The Conservatory offers students the opportunity to take a weekly core class in scene study, along with focused training each month in including Voice and Movement, Improvisation, Musical Theatre, On-Camera, Acting for Commercials, Create your Own Content and Workshops from top professional coaches across the country.
I would especially like to thank the following actors and teachers for generously dedicating their time to the development of the CHAS Conservatory students by holding Zoom mentoring sessions with them!
Craig Archibald, Kyle Fritz, Jonathan Del Arco, Mike Doyle, Mark Moses, Candi Milo, Oren Skoog and our in house mentor and hero, Harry Mastrogeorge. We are so grateful for your support! Also special thanks to Karen Kohlhaas from The Atlantic Theatre in New York for working with the students on monologues!
With the challenges we all faced this year addressing our new normal, these actors rose to the occasion. Their work has translated from stage to screen beautifully with special thanks to director Russell Reed. They forged ahead with a relentless work ethic and eagerness to continue the art of storytelling. The scenes are from plays. They are long. This is how actors develop and build muscle. Please try to watch them all the way through so you can experience their full range of expression.
Covid-19 has challenged us all to pivot, be flexible and think outside the box. We congratulate these actors on doing just that! Included on some of their personal pages are monologues, short films that were written, produced, directed and acted in quarantine during our Create Your Own Content class led by filmmaker extraordinaire, Christine Chen and also music videos created during our Musical Theatre class with Adam Roberts.
We’re excited for you to view their work and thank you for your support.
Enjoy the show!
